In case you’re sitting on the fence about attending this October’s Lowcountry Pie Getaway in Charleston, South Carolina, here’s a video I made to give you a bit of a nudge and a little taste of Charleston, too.
We’re getting very close to full, so please don’t delay if you’re serious about coming. We want you to secure a spot.

It’s going to be a great Getaway. We have Pie Academy members flying and driving in from all across the country. Some are old hands at pie making, some are passionate beginners, and I couldn’t be more excited about meeting everyone (and seeing old friends, too: several repeat members from our last Getaway have also signed up.) We can’t wait for October to get here.

Special note: Bev and I were devastated by this week’s tragic news coming out of Charleston. Bev made her home in Charleston for 25 years, and whenever we’re there it feels like home away from home. While we can’t begin to imagine the heartache experienced by the families of the shooting victims, we do know that Charleston is a strong, loving community and take comfort knowing that everyone who lives there will rally around and support one another in this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Charleston community.
